Exciting news from the #HYDROVERSE: Our start-up Supercritical Solutions signed a collaboration agreement with Shell for a paid feasibility study of Supercritical’s pioneering hydrogen technology.
The result: Industrial validation will enable Supercritical to move faster from protype to pilot.
Supercritical’s patented technology aims to address limitations in current electrolyser systems, targeting high system efficiency and delivery pressures up to 220 bar without hydrogen compressors. By operating at elevated pressure and temperature, the system achieves high efficiency and removes any dependency on either rare-earth materials or membranes that are prone to degradation and supply risk.
As part of our SPRINT start-up accelerator, we supported Supercritical with deep industry mentoring, strategic refinement and corporate access to refine market fit, validate use cases and strengthen commercial strategy.
Their hard work accumulated in winning the Pitch-Award at our HYDROVERSE CONVENTION 2025. Supercritical is a great example of what happens when bold ideas meet the right support system.
